Dorrine Viola (Bearce) Koch, 88, of Parksville, Mo., formerly of Stoutland, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born March 26, 1921, at Hiatville, Kan. to Ralph E. and Cornelia (Pellett) Pearce.
On Sept. 24, 1939, she married John F. Koch.
She attended school in Stoutland.
She was a lifelong Methodist and was a charter member of the Platte Woods United Methodist Church where she was active in the Hope Circle quilting ministry.
She retired from food service with the Park Hill School District 25 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, John F. Koch; two daughters, Joyce M. Bishop, of Parkville and V. Jean Lorentz, of Columbus, Ga.; a son, John E. Koch, of Kansas City; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services for Dorrine Viola (Bearce) Koch were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at the Platte Woods United Methodist Church with the Revs. Steve Breon and Ginger Pudenz officiating.
Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Parkville, under the direction of the Meyers Funeral Chapel northland.
